📹 Recording tips

A few seconds of setup gives far better analysis — especially for club tracking.

• ✓Keep the camera still. Prop your phone against something or use a tripod — don't hold it. A steady camera is the single biggest factor for clean club tracking.
• ✓Pick an angle. Down-the-line (camera behind you, looking toward the target) or face-on (straight in front). Both work; down-the-line shows the swing plane best.
• ✓Frame your whole body. Head to feet in view with a little room above and below, and the full club visible at the top of the backswing.
• ✓Stand back about 8–10 ft. Close enough to fill the frame, far enough that nothing gets cut off.
• ✓Use a calm, contrasting background. Avoid windy trees, nets, and busy patterns — moving background confuses club tracking. A plain wall, fence, or open sky is ideal.
• ✓Even lighting. Don't shoot into the sun. Open shade or an overcast day often tracks better than harsh, glary sunlight.
• ✓Show the ball. A clean, light-colored ball in frame near your feet lets the app estimate clubhead speed and carry distance.
• ✓One swing per clip. Start recording just before you take the club back and stop after your finish.
• ✓Slow-mo is welcome. 120 or 240 fps gives smoother club tracking — the app auto-detects it and corrects the timing and speed.
